YUNGMORPHEUS, the acclaimed rapper and producer celebrated for his prolific catalogue and distinctive contributions to underground hip-hop, will deliver his debut Irish performance at The Workman’s Club in Dublin on Friday, 5th June 2026.
This landmark show offers audiences an opportunity to experience the artist’s raw lyrical depth, eclectic production, and compelling stage presence firsthand, following a series of critically regarded releases and collaborations that have established him as a significant voice in contemporary independent rap.
YUNGMORPHEUS, born Colby Campbell, is a Miami-raised rapper and producer of Caribbean descent, currently based in Los Angeles. Influenced by his Florida roots, he developed an early interest in music through breakdancing and later pursued a degree in sociology at Boston College before fully committing to his artistic career. Adopting his moniker during his college years—stemming from comparisons to a young Morpheus from The Matrix trilogy due to his distinctive circular sunglasses and philosophical, smoke-filled demeanour—he has built a prolific and eclectic catalogue that stands as a significant contribution to underground hip-hop. Renowned for his cold yet suave vocal delivery, observant lyricism, and innovative production, YUNGMORPHEUS maintains an ethos of constant awareness and reflection, as articulated in his own words: “I pay attention, even when I seem high.” His recent output includes acclaimed collaborative projects with producers such as Eyedress, Obijuan, and THERAVADA, released via labels including Lex Records, further solidifying his reputation for raw authenticity and versatility in contemporary independent rap.
